Life update because life been lifen’..

So from my last pregnancy post, I got bigger and made it further than I had expected. Each day was more difficult to walk or fit ANY shoes, but I made it through the pregnancy and delivered 2 healthy babies!

Katana 5lbs 4oz and Itachi 5lbs 8oz were born on Feb 27 in a matter of one hour. Anything I had ever learned as a mother with one child completely changed with 2! Having twins is just starting all over again from what I thought I knew. It challenges you for sure! Having 1 kid who needs undivided attention all while figuring out how to feed and keep 2 newborns synchronized with eating and sleeping. Insane! See the misconception was that they’re twins so they will do things at the same time, but that’s not the case. They are twins, but they are 2 individuals that will wake and eat at separate times unless they are put on a schedule. And yes, I have help, but there’s no break when there’s 2 babies, 1 kid and 2 adults.

Selena, the loving big sister, is very mature and independent, so that definitely helps! Mom guilt definitely has kicked in. I realize how quickly she is growing and it’s become difficult to have one on one time with her. I know this is temporary, but it doesn’t make it easier now.

As for myself, I tried self care and changed up my hair a little. I tried to go out on walks for fresh air with the kiddos, but man that was a struggle! Anxiety hits immediately upon walking out. I’m hoping to get back to it though.. Also, it doesn’t help when you’re just looking to get sleep or get things done. Babies are now getting better with sleep as they are now 4 months 🤯. During pregnancy coffee cravings went completely away, but it’s just like top priority to get through the days now. Oh and that’s limited too as I’m breastfeeding and need to be conscious of my food/drink intake.

I lost my grandma a few months ago as I had mentioned in my previous post so that’s been heavy on me. Overall, lots on figuring out a new “normal.” I’m not positive on when I’ll get back to baking, but hopefully soon maybe starting with small orders. Anyway, until next time!

If you know me, you know the impact and value my grandmother had and still has in my life. I haven’t posted in quite some time, but this day June 11, is way too important to me that I could not let the day go by without mentioning YOU!
I ponder on the right words to say because you were special. The days go by and I still haven’t processed that you are no longer here. I wait for your phone calls, the ones just to chat about the everyday stuff, the ones to chat about real life stuff, the ones to say I love you, the ones to ask about everyone, the ones to say you are coming to spend the night, the ones where you tell me you cooked and to come eat…
I wait and wait and than I breakdown realizing they will no longer come. I try to relive our moments and what made our bond so special. Cooking what you taught me, loving how you showed me and just doing as you did even in the most minute way of how I have my coffee. Since the day you left Earth on March 28,2024, I have not been the same. There’s so much I could say about what you meant to me, but this post would never come to an end. I have very few pictures of you because I cherished our time differently. Selena misses you and I’m so sad my twins will never get to personally know you. I’m glad you are no longer suffering, but I selfishly wish I had more time with you, to laugh with you, to feel those tight hugs, even those moments where you spoke your mind!
